i'm a 17 yr old musician that has been blessed with a God giveen talent to play any and every musical instrument known to man. I'm very eager to learn anything and everything from anybody to help me develope my gift. PLEASE
Wow! That is certainly a gift!
My first question for you is: Can you read music?
I sing opera/classical and we're not known for our musicianship. However, I've gotten several giggs because I sightread well. Your local community college will have basic musicianship(sightreading) and theory classes (this extends into jazz/blues/rock). Boring? yes. But, I assure you, more than well worth it! If you can walk into a session and start playing, you can get jobs and never have to sit behind a desk again!
Second question: What do you want to do with your talent?
Learn the history of GREAT MUSICIANS.. THat will give you a road map to success and how to avoid pain!
