    A friend of mine likes jazz music a lot, and I would like to make a good jazz cd selection as a gift for their birthday. The store employees are not much help in this category. Can anyone suggest some nice jazz bands? Thank you.

    hi im a young jazz student although my playing isn't i love jazz and have been studying it for 5 years i play trumpet and have excelent tone i've been told by great performers such as andre heyward and profesor mike mossman i've also played with saxophonist patience haggens and rocky white from the duke elington orcestra if any 1 needs future star trumpet player or if any one playes trumpet profesionaly and would like to give me lessons please contact me at bluehorn84@yahoo.com thank you keep jamin my names josh!!!

    hi, i'm new to jazz, but i saw the hbo film gia, which had a track written by terence blanchard, a trumpeter. i absolutely fell in love with it and i've wanted to find more music similar to that. it was kind of slow and sad, and it was completely instrumental (though i'm not against lyrics). can anyone give me a recommendation for jazz trumpeters? if so, i'd appreciate it. thanks.

    OK here it is, I play guitar. I am really into bb king, and his style. I would like to know how to work more into my solos than jsut the typical blues scale, if anyone could help me out with interludes or transitions or anything then I'd greatly appreciate it
