i'm always up for a jazz chat. i live in san francisco where there is always some amount of activity. this weekend, for example, Boney James and Jeff Lorber will appear at the Concord Pavillion for FREE. One of our local musicians, Smith Dobson, who got his claim to fame by accompanying Eddie Jefferson,died in a car crash last week. Gonzalo Rubalcaba played the symphony hall last sunday night. solo piano.
